Through workshops and learning events, Action for Peace and Liberty aims at providing young men and women with the vital skills to undertake conflict prevention work in their own communities and support the reintegration of returnees.
Local Peace Committees and Local Protection Committees have long been present in this region, and they are usually mobilised and more active during periods of instability and conflict. Traditionally, protection committees track the location of armed groups, and provide early warning of possible attacks.
